we enjoyed staying at gateway lodge and for our little dog it was ideal. Were able to travel to many interesting places, my favourite being Shakespeare's Birthplace at Stratford upon Avon.

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was warm and the beds comfortable. It was in a convenient position for our needs. We would have liked a longer mirror somewhere and Wi Fi would have been helpful.

Have stayed in better for less money. Bath to high downstairs to get into to have a shower. The one upstairs was no good no shower curtain. Loose taps and toilet seat. Good job we only stayed 3 nights.

Ideal location for touring Cotswolds and Oxford area. Good local pub for meals. Located in quiet area of village. Good parking. Minute patio with old bench.

The cottage was in a good situation to explore the cotswolds. Warm and cosy. The patio doors need mending, could not use them and had to only use the side door. But enjoyed stay and would recommend.

We stayed in the cottage at the very beginning of April 2017. We had a very enjoyable stay. If you want a cottage to relax in I don't think this is the one for you. We used it as a base solely to eat and sleep. Then went off to Oxford, Bath and Stone Henge. The cottage has no grass what so ever and no views. It has a picnic table outside that has seen better days. It is very secure with an electric gate. Everything we needed was available in the cottage but the double bed was not the comfiest. The hardest thing for me was no EE telephone service. I can live without wifi and the internet but worrying that if needed I couldn't be reached by family that was hard. If you walk towards the pub you eventually pick up some signal and they have wifi in the pub. The part of the village the cottage is in is a mixture of what look like council flats and a few family homes. When we were at the cottage it was not peaceful. There are a few nice walks about the village and the local pub food is really lovely.
