Lovely cottage. Very isolated. We love cycling running and walking but could not do this as lorries going up and down the lane to the hydro station. We had use bottled water due to the water being out of a tank. Did not get email until the last thing. We actually came home on the Thursday.

The cottage was clean and comfortable and the summer house was a particularly pleasant place to enjoy the views of Loch Rannoch. However for me and my collie, the road immediately outside was a great distraction. For a relatively narrow country road, traffic sped along and due to logging nearby, there were many very large tree trunk laden lorries passing regularly. One afternoon, there was a near miss right outside between a logging lorry with trailer and a motor home. The cottage is advertised as having its own private beach, and while this is a pleasant place to sit, you have to cross the road to get to it, so it's not ideal. Finally, because the cottage nestles among many large trees, the midges were a nightmare, so come prepared!

Fantastic for a quiet relaxing week away. Wonderful location with great views over the loch. All facilities you need and was so glad that no wifi or internet connection was available, bliss! Midges where not too bad but it's worth taking a tick remover especially if a dog is coming along. They go with the territory! The log burner was a real winner as is the summer house. Would happily return, maybe in the autumn
