Enjoy a short break or a week long holiday at this delightful cottage just 8 miles from the market town of Barnard Castle.

Approached by a short grassy pathway and set back from the village road, this charming and tastefully decorated, semi-detached holiday cottage has lovely views from the front and rear, and an enclosed rear gravelled sitting-out area. It offers a cosy base to return to after exploring this little-known, unspoilt region. Mickleton has two pubs and there is a selection of other inns and restaurants in the surrounding villages. The market town of Barnard Castle is 8 miles away which has a variety of shops as well as Bowes Museum, whilst the countryside offers very good walking and cycling for all abilities. Shop 2 miles, pub serving food 100 yards.

Ground floor: Living room with beams. Step down to kitchen with beams and tiled floor. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft), 2 steps to 1 twin and bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.

    Lovely cottage in beautiful location with plenty to see and do in the area. Very good value for money. Just thought the kitchen could have done with a few more pieces of equipment like a small holed sieve for draining rice/peas and saucepans with lids!
