Enjoy elevated views from this well appointed cosy cottage within the quiet grounds of a non working farm.

Commanding superb, elevated views over the surrounding hills and countryside, this attractively furnished, single-storey holiday cottage, enjoys its own small terraced garden. The perfect retreat, it is set down a quiet lane, close to the owner’s 500-year-old listed house on their non-working farm. With Offa’s Dyke Path nearby, there is tennis, riding, bird watching and fishing available locally. Visit the National Trust’s historic Powis Castle at Welshpool, or take a nostalgic trip on a narrow gauge steam train down the valley to Llanfair Caereinion. The pretty town of Montgomery is well worth a visit too, and this property is well placed for exploring the unspoilt land of the Welsh Borders. Pub 1½ miles.

Lovely cottage. Exceeded our expectations. Everything on hand if you were catering for yourself. Along with lots of information about the local area. Books and games on hand as well. Very inviting garden area to enjoy and sit out in if weather allows.Nice touch with milk, tea and eggs provided. Olwen and Dave very friendly couple. We would definitely consider going again and highly recommend it to others.

A home from home with character. The cottage had touches of luxury making it a welcoming place to either come back to after a day out or to stay in and chill out. The beautiful garden setting was relaxing as was watching the many birds that came to feed the well placed feeding tables.

Extremely comfortable. Lovely views. The cottage was comprehensively stocked with books, games, music, dvds and as well as tea and coffee. They also provided milk and eggs and biscuits. Only thing lacking was WiFi.

The cottage is beautiful, all the comforts of home with views to take your breath away. Very peaceful and amazing location close to Shrewsbury, must see, and many other locations. David and Olwen excellent hosts, very welcoming and knowledgeable. If you want to relax and just enjoy life from the hassle of normal living then this is the place to go.

Absolutely brilliant getaway! Location and setting was beautiful, the cottage had plenty of room and the landowners were delightful people. Local shops were about 5 mins away in the car, but there was no 24 hour shops anywhere (but whatever to be honest) Would recommend to anybody - enjoy your holiday!

Very well equipped compact cottage with good shower, comfortable standard double bed and modern (freeview) tv. Lovely setting with views over valley. Owners live next door and have delightful garden. They are very helpful without being at all intrusive. There is no wifi and only a weak signal so enjoy the peace!

We had a lovely holiday. The cottage is in a good location with great views and set in the owners garden which is a credit to them. We were made to feel very welcome. We had an unexpected week of Welsh sunshine - a hottest spell of weather for many years!
