Garden lodge is a beautiful property in a stunning setting, and we very much enjoyed our stay. Access to the Internet is the only thing that could have improved it - whilst it's lovely to get away completely modern life for many of us means that email communication is necessary. However, even without this we will certainly return - one of the best appointed and individual holiday cottages we have come across. Many thanks to the owners and caretakers.

An excellent cottage, well managed by friendly couple. Their hospitality is superb. The Cottage is just what we wanted, rural but accessible. Feeling remote but set 7-8 minutes from A1. The cottage location is unique in its character and surprisingly spacious with two large double rooms and an attic conversion with two singles (great for our two teens!) Two bathrooms so no arguments about who brushes their teeth first! Kitchen, with dining table, is large and well equipped and the sitting room is cosy made even more so by the log burning fire! We stayed over 3 nights and visited the pretty fishing town of Dunbar (15 mins drive) and intended to visit Edinburgh but simply could not drag ourselves away from the place such was the cottage’s tranquil effect. A glass of pinot noir by the fire or on the seats under the porch canopy watching the pheasant walk by… perfect!
