Garden Cottage was ideally located for our requirements. We know the area well. Garden Cottage was very charming with everything you could want. Jeanette the landlady was very charming and supplied a very nice essentials pack. Would highly recommend this cottage. Beautiful garden covered in snow

    Not pet friendly

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your review. My property is pet-friendly however as advertised we do only accept one pet, and the property sleeps up to 2 people. Unfortunately, these guests arrived with a cat and a dog and I believe a third person stayed a number of nights therefore over occupying my property and breaching the booking terms and conditions that were agreed to upon booking. Also, there are terms with regards to pets which are that pets are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs and they are not to be left unattended at any time in the property. These are set by Cottages.com for the comfort of all our guests as not all are pet owners and sometimes pets can become distressed when left in unfamiliar surroundings. Unfortunately, these guests did not adhere to these as they left their animals for very long periods in my cottage while they went out visiting (up to 15 hours), also one of my rugs has been damaged where one of the pets has urinated on and as I cannot buy another to replace I am having to pay to have it cleaned. So to have then received this low score is very upsetting but as can be evident from my previous reviews, my guests have been very happy with their stay with or without a pet.

We loved garden cottage. It was a real home from home. Jeanette was very friendly and helpful but uno btrusive. The location was great for us as we were there to visit family nearby. Also great for exploring the trossachs area and Glasgow in general. No bars or restaurants within walking distance but the train station was just round the corner. For the time of year and only sleeping 2 we felt it was perhaps a wee bit pricey but it ticked all the other boxes.

Garden Cottage was very comfortable and cosy. More space than it looks on photo's. The owner also left a welcome pack for us and a bottle of wine. Thank you. We didn't need any heating on apart from the shower room. Everything possibly required was available including a dishwasher and washing machine. Lots of little extras like hooks in the bedroom, plenty of drawer and hanging space. The bed was comfortable, shower had good pressure and always hot water. The garden was enclosed for our dog and was very private with table and chairs. Rail station a 10 minute walk away and small shop also near by. Plenty of larger supermarkets within 10 minute drive. We have stayed in Glasgow many times and still found plenty things to do. All the museums etc. are free entry. We had a lovely holiday and it was nice to come "home" to Garden Cottage at night. I would definitely recommend it to others.

The Garden Cottage is stunning and well located for travel by train to Glasgow from the Westerton Station nearby . The owner was extremely helpful and provided a welcome package of food necessities that was much appreciated. There is only a small shop locally and we purchased our groceries in Glasgow. There is a large supermarket adjacent to the Argyle Street train station in Glasgow and the train from Westerton stopped at this Station.
