Good central location. Poor instructions to find premises since post code covered a wide area - needed additional markers like position of brick wall or trees etc. Updating required throughout. Needed curtains in bedroom (also mentioned by previous guests). Hot water for bath was erratic and limited. Major lack of equipment in kitchen including tea clothes and tea towels, clean dishcloths and sponges (all cheap enough to provide new replacements not recycled used old ones), inadequate cooking utensils, Teflon coming off frying pan etc. No "welcome tea tray" (no tea , biscuits, milk, sugar, bread etc)/basic provisions (important since no nearby shop). Wouldn't cost much to remedy deficiencies. Overall disappointed.

The cottage was lovely and well kept. A nice warm welcome and a rural spot. You did have to drive if you wanted to go anywhere. The bed was really a bit too soft for our tastes but clean and cosy. Also the bath was very shallow so not really suitable for a long soak. There was plenty of hot water. We had a great time, very relaxing and loved the open fire and the fresh basket of logs delivered to your door each day. We would definitely stay again.
