Description

Surrounded by stunning dramatic scenery, this delightful holiday cottage is in an ideal location for walkers and nature lovers alike.

Surrounded by stunning dramatic scenery, these delightful 17th-century holiday cottages (ref LVL and LZL) lie in a walker’s and nature lover’s paradise. Take the path to Stanley Force Waterfall, discover the ‘jewels’ of the River Esk and the ancient village of Boot, or walk to Devoke Water, the largest tarn in the Lake District. Lovely cottage, but a bit too "off the grid" for us to stay again.

Very isolated with fantastic views which we wanted. Loved the old fashioned Arga.

The cottage was exceptional, we had a minor issue with the television but the owners soon sorted it out for us. Overall the location was fantastic, the only company we had was sheep, views spectacular a great place to stay.

Although it could be in a too a remote place for some especially if you are arriving in the dark, it was ideal for us as it is in an ideal location for walking in and around eskdale. An option to purchase more kindling and coal would have made our stay even better as we used all the wood up on the first night. Beautiful views and well equipped cottage, the aga and log fire make it nice and cosy

The best aspect of this cottage is it's location - it is wonderfully remote, with gorgeous views all around the property. We hope to return.

It was the second time I have booked this cottage in the last four years. The best thing for me is the rich character of the cottage. Also it's location is perfect for everything one would want to do in Lake District. Would strongly recommend it to others.
