Description

Grade II listed property just 800 yards from the glistening sea of Tenby’s North Beach

Gable End Lodge might be just 800 yards from the sparkling sand and glistening blue sea of Tenby’s North Beach but this Grade II listed, architectural gem is certainly hard to leave. From film stars to socialites, Gable End Lodge has been a much loved home and retreat for many since its construction in the 1830s. Now accommodating 7 beneath its elegant roof, its spacious rooms, high ceilings and delightfully ornate windows make it impossible not to appreciate the uniqueness of its original design. After a morning swim, the private enclosed garden offers the ideal spot for browsing the morning papers; while the grandeur of the living room provides a fitting welcome after some fine dining within the medieval walled town.  With Tenby often referred to as ‘the jewel in the crown of Pembrokeshire’  and The National Geographic recently claiming Pembrokeshire to be the second best coastal destination in the entire world...........this gem within the jewel shouldn’t be missed.

Brilliant location for accessing Tenby, 10 min easy walk to town centre. Property very well maintained and very clean, a perfect house for a family holiday, it kept 6 of us very nicely. Tenby is a fantastic location to visit, very picturesque, loads to do and loads of excellent eateries and pubs, very family friendly. The surrounding attractions are within easy driving distance of Tenby. Parking within Tenby is limited making this holiday cottage perfect as it has private secure parking

Family holiday with my husband, daughter, son -in law and two granddaughters to celebrate my 70th birthday.I love Tenby. The location of the cottage was quiet and in walking reach of the beaches and town centre. We were lucky to have sunny dry weather throughout most of our stay. The cottage had plenty of storage space, comfy beds and plenty of room for all of us.It would have been useful to have a tumble dryer but we managed.

This is a really nice cottage, well-equipped for families, very comfy beds, generally quiet. It was very clean and well-kept, and had lots of original features. It was about a 10 minute walk from the seafront (uphill) and has a Co-op 2 minutes away which is very handy. The only thing I would say is that there is not much outside space. The bit of garden in the photo is all there is, and it is semi-detached and in the middle of a residential area, not as detached as it appears.... However, that was the only minor thing, I would definitely stay there again, and the owner was very friendly and helpful.
