Very unhappy about the cleanliness of the cottage. Dusty, and teh whole kitchen area felt greasy and grimy; slugs in a kitchen are never a good thing! Such a shame as the views and walks direct from the door were amazing.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the agency; We were so sorry to hear of the problems that you came across during your stay. We can only think that a slug must have got in through an open window or door. We have spoken to the caretaker and I am sure that the cottage will be sparkling for your next visit. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the beautiful views and the many walks from the door!

The cottage is lovely, the views are great from all of the Windows. It was a cosy and warm which was just as well as it snowed all week.

Lovely little cottage. Pleasantly surprised as it looked smaller and more compact in the photos than we arrived. Was so nice to enter somewhere warm, as we did not arrive till late in the evening! Great views, lovely village (we have visited before) and perfect for my husband and I and our toddler. Would definitely recommend. We have visited the Dales many times and stayed in many cottages. This one is right up there with the best.

This is a fantastic cottage in a really lovely location. We arrived at 11am to do a walk and so were able to park but don't be put off by comments about lack of parking, there is a free car park about 5 mins away and many people park at the side of the road near the cottage. Also, being next to the road is not a problem either (we live in a very peaceful location so are not used to traffic and found the cottage to be very quiet). The views are beautiful and the balcony is great (and south facing, I believe). The pub is fabulous and only a short walk away and there are some wonderful easy and challenging walks to do from the cottage. Go with everything you need if, like us, you prefer to leave the car parked for the duration of your stay as the nearest shop is in Muker (this didn't matter to us as we had all that we required). The cottage is very cosy and has a wonderful fire with plenty of seating for four people. There was only two of us but enough room for four. I would highly recommend this cottage and this beautiful location. We will be recommending it to friends and family.
