Had a lovely weekend stay at Fowey view, property was well equipped and met all our needs, only downside was if you need any shopping, its quite 20 min drive to the nearest shop if the chain ferry to Fowey has stopped. Our daughter loved seeing the cows in the morning.

Great little bungalow for walking the coastal paths. Well equipped and very comfortable for 4. Owner friendly and keen to help out when we forgot our towels. Will definetly stay there again.

We arrived to find scones, clotted cream and jam to welcome us. The accommodation was perfect and in a beautiful location. The owners were helpful and friendly If you need to get away for a break from everything this is definitely the place to do it. The garden and field behind it were perfect for our small dog . There is one shop locally so the ferry is required to get to Fowey only taking around four minutes to get there. Fowey itself is lovely, lots of places to eat and we drove out to find beaches each day - one thing to definitely check is the list of beaches the owners provide (pinned up in the kitchen) so you know in advance which beaches dogs are allowed on to between May - September. We would go back again tomorrow if we could

Very welcoming, but garden was not dog proof, location was very poor as you either did a 20 mile road detour or you paid £4.80 each way on ferry that could be reached 0.5 mile away. If weather poor not much to do with a dog as all walks were over fields so very muddy.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are very sorry that you were disappointed with the accommodation and scored Fowey View poorly for location and local amenities. The property description does point out the ferry connecting Bodinnick and Fowey and states it is in a rural location. When you go further to book it mentions again the river running between Bodinnick and Fowey. We are passionate about where we live and think the river adds charm and provides a great place for canoeing, sailing and water trips. It is a very peaceful, quiet and secluded area. However we do appreciate it is not to everyone's taste and that some people may find the ferry crossing frustrating. We are in discussion with the ferry company and hopefully we will soon be able to provide some ferry tickets in our welcome package to contribute towards ferry costs. We welcome dogs to the property as we think it is an ideal place to walk dogs with lots of wonderful countryside and beaches. The garden is to the rear of the property but it is not dog proof as you say and is not described as such but we will look at additional fencing. With regards to the muddy fields - we are aware you had an unusually wet and misty week in June. We are very disappointed that we were not given the opportunity to give you advice about alternative walks. We provide lists of dog friendly beaches but there are also other walks close by. We always remind guests that we are only next door if they require help. We really do want people to enjoy their holiday and will do everything to make that possible. I wish we could order the weather as well!
