A lovely property. Location was very beautiful but along a very bumpy track which my poor fiesta struggled with. Very relaxing location.

Couldn't fault this place, we have stayed in lots of cottages and this has to be the best. The road is a bit bumpy towards the end, but take your time and you are fine. Even with our low vehicle we had no problems. Great location and enclosed rear garden meant that we could let the dog out off his lead and he loved his paddle in the stream each morning. Only thing missing in the kitchen (the same as nearly every cottage we have stayed in) was a tin for making Yorkshire puddings to go with your Sunday roast, so I bought one and left it for future guests. All in all a great place, just a shame the wife took ill and spent all week in Ayr hospital, so we will be back next year hopefully so she can enjoy the place this time.

The setting was stunning and the cottage was picturesque with clear instructions and fantastic space inside. The log fire was wonderful and the equipment was good overall. The standard of the cottage was excellent. We have one major negative though. On the first night of our stay, there was no bedding available for the sofa bed, despite stating in the booking there would be 4 adults staying there. We tried to contact the caretaker on the number provided but there was no answer for the entire evening so we were without bedding for one of our nights there. We eventually gained access to the additional bedding the following morning when they happened to stop by thinking we weren't arriving until that day. The sofa bed although a great addition, is not entirely suitable for 2 adults to sleep on comfortably for 3 nights in a row. Fantastic location for the observatory and walks and a wonderful stay in general, if the bedding situation wasn't as it was it would have been a perfect score.

Lovely location in beautiful area with access to the historic Craigengillan estate and the Dark Sky Observatory. Cottage is beautifully presented and very well equipped. Only point is very large sitting room and kitchen for only one double bedroom if one wanted to bring a friend or children.

A really lovely cottage, we had a great time it was a lovely size, with a great kitchen. It had a lovely Aga plus a normal oven. We found the aga heating too hot and had it turned off but tears personal taste. A few more things in the kitchen would be appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and a lovely bathroom. The living room was very comfortable. The staff at the estate couldn't have been lovelier and more helpful. A lovely cottage especially for two and very dog friendly.

A beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting. We loved the huge kitchen and the Aga. There were great walks for our dogs. We loved the wildlife close by; deer, hares, bats and numerous birds. We would love to go back.
