Description

This delightful, terraced, dog-friendly holiday home for two, offers a great base to explore the lovely county of Dorset.

This terraced cottage is set in a wonderful location, near the village of Milton Abbas, mid-way between Dorchester, the county town of Dorset, and the market town of Blandford. Attached to the owners’ home, the property is perfect for scenic country walking with your dog on Bulbarrow Hill, or some great country village pubs to wine and dine in. For days out visit Milton Abbey, Athelhampton House, Kingston Lacey, Cerne Abbey and the giant carved into the side of the hill at Cerne Abbas. Approximately 20 miles away you can visit the coastal resorts of Poole and Bournemouth where you will find museums, watersports, beaches and restaurants serving local produce. Don’t miss exploring the Purbecks, taking in Corfe, Swanage, Lulworth Cove, and on down to the Victorian seaside town of Weymouth on the famous Jurassic Coast. Further inland the characterful Dorset towns of Sturminster Newton, Shaftesbury and Sherborne with its abbey and castle are also worth a visit. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

What a wonderful welcome when we entered the cottage, waiting for us in the gorgeous kitchen were ,cookies on a tea tray , milk in the fridge a Christmas card and a Christmas tree!! The cottage was even nicer than we had anticipated with everything that you could possibly need, a lot of thought had gone into the furnishing etc which made it a very warm and cosy cottage. The bed was sooo comfortable and huge!! wished I could have taken it home with me :) The shower was wonderful too and everywhere was very clean. The cottage had a perfect little court yard which was great to be able to let our dog out last thing at night. It is in a very beautiful location with easy access to lots of places of interest and lots of great dog walks near by. The owners were very friendly and literally next door if you needed them for anything, we would most definitely go back again :)

It is in the middle of nowhere but that's what we wanted. Easy access to towns & only 30 mins from Studland beach. Best bed I have ever slept in! Cottage was bigger than I thought shame garden wasn't bigger for the puppies as no immediate walking area outside. Would definitely recommend.

A cosy cottage in a rural area, but not too far from coast which was great. The cottage was ideally placed for us to visit many different places in Dorset. A comfy bed and great shower, adequate kitchen and dining areas, overall very pleased with this cottage.
