The location was ideal for visiting friends, house was plenty big enough and clean throughout EXCEPT when we transferred our food waste bag to the bin outside there was already some waste in it, presumably from the last guests and I should think they were there more than a week ago as there were also LOTS of small MAGGOTS - yuk! The house was freezing when we arrived and whilst there is instructions on how to work the heating it felt like it hadn't been on for a while - also beds are too low (but comfortable) A final thing was there was no welcome pack - I appreciate it is not advertised as having one but this is the first place we have ever stayed where there wasn't even a pint of milk in the fridge and a few biscuits, these small inexpensive additions would make all the difference when all you want is a cup of tea after a long journey

We stayed as two couples when competing in the Gower Triathlon in Port Eynon. The cottage is ideally located to get into Port Eynon and be far enough away to get good parking and a bit of peace and quiet! The accommodation is good, with two doubles and a single, and the price was great given how late we ended up booking. Our only reservations were some of the facilities. There is sporadic mobile signal in places on the Gower so WIFI was a must for us to be able to stay in touch for the weekend. I would urge the owners to put WIFI in, even if it pushes the price up by a couple of quid. Also the shower head was irritating - one of those that spits out of the side and moves around all over when it's on full pressure. Two easily fixable issues to otherwise a comfortable, enjoyable stay.

Very clean and spacious cottage. Close to beautiful beaches and ideal for dog walking. Went mid-week in February, so very quiet ( the pub and chip shop never opened). Beds very low but comfy once you're in. Extremely well equipped kitchen. No phone signal or wifi (we're on O2). Had to drive approximately 5 miles to get a signal! Parking may be an issue if you have a large car or more than 1. The Gower is stunning and will definitely go back.
