This cottage is in a prime location for visiting all the main beaches on Gower. It is very handy for Rhosilli , Port Eynon and Oxwich. The beaches are fantastic and you are spoilt for choice and you also have Caswell Bay and Langland bay within 30 minutes drive. The cottage has everything you need, however the less able bodied will struggle with the low beds. There is a pub, and chip shop over the road but not always open out of season. There is also a convenience store. All in all a very nice place for a holiday.

Only problem I had was, following recent knee replacement it was difficult to get on and off the beds, which were too low for me, but OK otherwise everything you need is there. Enjoyed our stay on the beautiful Gower yet again.

We had a lovely time at Forester's Lodge. Peaceful location and friendly neighbours. It was very well equipped and spotlessly clean.

Great location for exploring the Gower. The house was clean, warm and comfortable. The neighbours were friendly and very helpful and the WIFI was good enough to keep two teenage boys happy!!!!! Just a couple of small things that would improve it, it could do with a washing line outside and a tumble drier for wet days. Though a have to say the use of the garage to hang wet suits and our wet beach tent was handy.

Enjoyed staying at Foresters Escape. Lovely and peaceful village, very close to some spectacular beaches and beautiful countryside. House very comfortable and well equipped. It would be really helpful to have a hairdryer there and a proper washing line and tumble dryer as weather not always great in Wales. It was a very relaxing break and lovely to be able to have a dog there too. Lots of lovely walks to take.

We had a problem with the heating, which was sorted out amicably. Hence the lower ratings. The house is ideal for exploring the Gower and we would happily stay again

My Wife, Border Collie and I stayed for two weeks in January. I would not recommend this house at that time of year. The heating is oil fired which smells strongly like Diesel. The local Hotel and Fish & Chip shop are closed for the season and it is quite desolate. The drive to anywhere is on unlit country roads which become rivers in heavy rain and is not for the faint hearted. There was also no Internet which the owner was trying to get sorted but due to the location BT were struggling to fix it. On a positive it is near some lovely beaches and would be fantastic in the Summer.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Gower is an area of outstanding natural beauty surrounded by countryside so there are very few street lights however the small area where the property is situated has street lights. Less than one mile away there are two chip shops and two pubs which offer a takeaway service. A short distance from the house there is a shop which is open 7 days a week and is well stocked; this is open all year round. Wi-Fi is available however this facility cannot be guaranteed to be available at all times due to the unpredictability of Service Providers. The boiler has been tested to safety standards; however we have an engineer currently doing another inspection.
