good cottage and location. it is right on the cycle trails. bathroom lovely and very clean. some will find the cottagey look and decor lovely and interesting. we would have preferred a bit less cottage items so there was an inch of surface space to put our own things on. teddies on the bed for our toddler was a stroke of genius and he loved to 'borrow' the cottage teddies for the week. no internet! probably it did say but we missed this when booking. also not much phone signal.

Cottage was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely location with lots of nearby places to visit such as Puzzlewood, Lydney Harbour and Forest of Dean Steam Railway. The Fountain and Rising Sun did excellent food and well worth visiting for good value meals in pleasant surroundings. We really enjoyed watching all the birds feeding in the garden, so make sure you keep feeders topped up. Really appreciated the peace and quiet of the cottage and had a relaxing holiday.

Cath, the owner, was friendly and helpful. Forest View had everything we expected and more, very comfortable. Our children were really excited when they saw their beds made up with fun pillow cases and toys. It was a lovely getaway and very peaceful. Walks from the doorstep, lots of fun places nearby to visit with the children (5 & 6yrs). Good directions, easy key access, easy parking. Great value for a summer holiday. I think it would be cosy in winter with the open fire. No internet or mobile signal so did some research beforehand eg. supermarkets, fuel, takeaways. Lots of leaflets at the cottage re. local attractions and quite a bit of other useful info. Had no issue with the access road. We would definitely stay here again.

A lovely cottage in an ideal - and nicely quiet - location for exploring the wider area. Very well equipped throughout, it was spotlessly clean on arrival and comfortable and cosy too. I am sure we will be returning.
