We loved our stay. Coming with kids we could've done with knowing the local inn wasn't open as we arrived late with no food... No shop near by. Location is perfect for a break once stocked though, and we loved it!

On the plus side, this cute cottage is in a beautiful village with lovely walking and an easy train ride to Bath and Bristol. The log burner made it cosy. On the down side, there is no heating in the kitchen and the furnishings are tired. The cottage was reasonably clean but the crockery and cutlery was not.

cottage was a let down as water heater only allowed for 1 shower if you were under 5mins. storage heaters didn't work. lock on the door was very difficult to use. pub next door stopped doing food so long way to go for dinner. parking was a nightmare, we ended up parking in the pub. the neighbour halogen light shone straight in the the bedroom window all night and lastly no garden is not suitable for dogs on such a busy road.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. We are shocked with your comments with regards to the water. As far as we were aware, there were no issues with the water and there should have been an adequate water supply however, if this was brought to our attention we would have addressed this issue immediately. Once again, we weren’t aware there were any issues with the storage heaters and if aware, we would have addressed this also. The water and storage heaters will be checked. The lock will also be checked. We apologised that the pub isn’t offering food, this is on a temporary basis due to renovation work but guests are still welcome to go there for a drink. There are 2 other pubs within 2 miles of the property. We apologise that the neighbours light is shining into the bedroom, we will attend to this.

A beautiful old cottage on the inside. Loved all the quirkiness you get in old cottages like this.

Lovely old cottage with plenty of character, fantastic log burner and great shower. A couple of points to note. The only parking we could use was by arrangement with the pub. The kitchen was short of storage if you plan on eating in most of the timeand if your tall mind your head through some of the door ways
