Beautiful cottage in an equally beautiful part of Devon. Two very good sized double bedrooms with ensuite and one bedroom with two single beds. Fully equipped kitchen, great living area with a log fire and lots of parking spaces outside. The owners were very polite and helpful - they made our stay memorable even though the weather wasn’t great.

The Barn is an ideal property for a relaxing break. Everything you could possibly need is provided. The beds are very comfortable with lovely clean linen. Yes, it is slightly out of the way, but that's what makes it so relaxing. There are plenty of places to go within a short car ride. The owners are very welcoming and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break and I'm sure we'll be back at some time!

We were very impressed when we first entered the property, it was very clean and spacious. When we checked the kitchen, the amount of crockery and utensils were plentiful. The bedrooms were nicely prepared and the quality of the linen was exceptional for a holiday let. In fact all the amenities were of good quality and the cottage layout was convenient and well thought out. We met the owner shortly after our arrival, what very pleasant and helpful couple. The home baked cake plus the wine was very acceptable. We also took advantage of the new laid eggs, which were available at a very reasonable price. My only other comment would be for another dining table in the conservatory as it would be a lighter place to eat during the autumn evenings. Really enjoyed our stay at the Barn, just a pity about the weather.

The barn needs updating. The 2 sofas in the lounge are so uncomfortable. The roads to get there are so narrow and you do not read this until after booking. However the owners are really nice, and the North Devon coast is really beautiful.

The Barn was a lovely spacious property giving plenty of room for a large family to enjoy. The property was well catered for children and adults alike. There was multiple games for the children to enjoy. Books and puzzles for adults. The little touches really show the tough and care the owners give towards their guests.... children bedding, stair gates and sweets in children's rooms and a lovely home made cake and bottle of wine for the adults to enjoy. The property is remote but the owners have provided play areas and activities for children to enjoy. Unfortunately the village pub has burnt down but there are many lovely pubs just a short drive away. A village shop would have been useful but all supermarkets are available in Bideford.
