loved my holiday at this cottage.it is set right on the cleaveland way coast path and just seconds from the shops in the village. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The parking space was a bonus as the car park at the top of the hill looked full most of the time. There was one time that we must not of locked the parking posts properly and someone from the chip shop had took the space,he did move when he was asked but it clearly states private parking and the posts were in place when we went out so he had pulled them out... This minor incident did not spoil our holiday,we all loved it here and would like to stay here again at some point in the future.

Lots of character. Parking a plus but tricky to get in and out.

Our second visit. We love the location of the cottage and it is ideally suited to our bedroom configuration requirements! The owners are lovely, the cottage is well provided although if you are not keen on climbing stairs it may not be the best for you!! Our only dislike is the very narrow road leading to the cottage, still we could always choose to park at the top and walk down. Robin Hoods Bay and the surrounding area is lovely although as proved this year the weather can be unpredictable.

We booked Flagstaff Cottage for a Family break with a close friend. The bedroom accommodation was easily spacious enough for 5 adults but the main living area and the kitchen eating area were both on the small size for this number of adults. Be aware that the stairs to all levels are steep and narrow, OK for fully able bodied people but anyone with any mobility issues at all would probably find them difficult to navigate. Access restrictions are fairly advised on the cottage description and workable - we drove down into the village to drop all our kit off and pick it up at the end of the holiday - using the free carpark at the top of the hill during the week (space was difficult to find at times and I fear would be even more difficult in the summer season)
