Very well-located cottage. Comfortable beds. Sweet seaside cottage decor. The kitchen/dining room felt a bit cramped- we were pleased there were only 2 of us and we didn't eat in much! Minor niggles: the loo seat fixing was broken and there was no dishwasher although one was mentioned on the website.

The cottage is lovely, but it is totally inaccessible by car. You will have to carry your luggage up to the property (via a steep path), from a nearby car park. This is not explicitly outlined in the description of the cottage, and it needs to be. If you are fit and healthy it presents very little problems, but if not, I suggest you think carefully about this location. One of our party had mobility problems and even their powered buggy could not get to the cottage. Mevagissey is a lovely place and we spent an enjoyable week here. Rick Stein's restaurant at Porthleven is worth a visit - we enjoyed a lovely meal and a look around the harbour.

Lovely cottage....all one would require. However it does not state that its up quite a steep hill and its extremely difficult to get your luggage in to the property! Luckily we found a private parking space just above the property by some houses. The lady kindly told us we could use her slot so we took our luggage down to the property. 0n leaving we carried it down to the Fountain Pub.....then two separate trips to the car park. We would go again and stay in this property because we now know a way around it. To be fair I do think this should be flagged up before booking. Otherwise everything in the cottage high standard. Gerry Stu and Harvey....whoof whoof

We had a lovely holiday in this cottage. Shame there was no garden as difficult with a dog but we still enjoyed ourselves and Sam the owner was really helpful. A quirky cottage that was lovely and clean and comfortable.

We would stay again but only me and my husband. This time we went with my brother and as 3 pensioners who need to go to the loo in the night, this cottage posed a bit of a problem. There are 2 bedrooms and a stair case to each but to get to the bathroom from one of the bedrooms you either had to walk through the other bedroom (not really an option during the night!) or go down one set of stairs cross the living room and go up the other set of stairs and then do this in reverse to go back to the bedroom. Luckily my brother is fit! This arrangement would be fine for a family with young children but we did find this a major inconvenience. That aside the cottage is comfortable and very well equipped and being just a stones throw from the harbour meant that we could wander down to the town at any time. We enjoyed many of the restaurants, all within easy walking distance. The quirky decore suits the cottage perfectly and we had a lovely week.
