Cottage was nice but very dated. A fire in the lounge would have been nice. We went to two other properties - Edelweis and Fisherbeck Farmhose, both of which were much nicer than the cottage. There was plenty of crockery, pots and pans etc. Although we booked for 6 people, only 5 beds were made up. The information about Ambleside was useful.

An ideal base for a small group or family, very competitively priced. We've been to this property (and the one next door) before and will continue to do so.

We enjoyed our stay at Fisherbeck park. Good location. Good views from the living room. Damp in corner in bathroom. Paint on walls need refreshment.

Had a lovely time here. The cottage was very comfortable and an easy distance from shops etc.

More information was needed about recycling. The previous people had left a lot of plastic and wine bottles so the bin for these items was full. There was no information what to do with plastic bott.les or that there was a box for paper. Think you also need a notice about how to turn the hot water on.

Accomodstion is very dated and tired looking but was clean and comfortable. Good location if you are able as in a very hilly spot but very close to Ambleside. Very peaceful place and gave us everything we wanted for our stay.

We hiked, cycled and climbed in all weathers, returning to Fisherbeck Park to wash the mud off, warm up, eat and sleep. The house was a perfect base for 4 days activities in the Lakes. We walked up Red Screes and cycled down the Western shore of Windermere from the door. Ambleside climbing wall well worth a visit. Helvellyn was in easy striking distance. WiFi was fine.
