This was our 2nd visit this year as it is a lovely cottage. would prefer to have more control over central heating as it was a bit chilly, we did ask for it to be turned up, but still a bit low for us !! our generation don't like to nag !!!

The perfect cottage and location to enjoy the best of Exmoor life. Peace, quiet, dark skies and lovely views from a very cosy and welcoming cottage with plenty of walks straight from the front door. Can't recommend this cottage highly enough. Will definitely return. One of the very best places I have ever stayed. Thank you so much to Kevin and Lesley for being so welcoming.

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a great location. Took 2 dogs with us who had a great time on the moors. Friendly owners right next door if you need anything. Cake, flowers and wine on arrival and even a box of dog treats. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a lovely stay in Fir View. We felt very welcome, the cottage smelt so nice, the fresh flowers and the baked cake :-) The cottage was very clean! We had a bit of bad luck with the wheather. That is why I found it chilly in the cottage and had to ask the owner if the heating could be turned on.

Response on behalf of the owner; Many thanks for your wonderful review, we were so happy to read that you both enjoyed your stay at Firview, despite having to come on holiday with your leg in plaster. We hope you have now fully recovered and that perhaps we may see you both again in the future so you will be able to enjoy those walks with the dog.

This was the first time staying at Fir View cottage, and we would hope to return at sometime in the near future. The quality of the interior fixtures and fittings ought to be noted by other holiday letting owners. Well decorated and with good class of furnishings. The beds and bedding were the best we have encountered in over 30 years of going away with self catering. Small but ideal for a couple. The location,in the heart of Exmoor,is well placed to visit all places of interest. We also considered that the price paid was good value for money. The personal touches by the owners were welcome-fresh flowers, milk,a bottle of wine, and a homemade sponge cake. It just goes to show just what can be done with a bit of personal interest as opposed to keeping it cheap and basic. Brilliant!
