Apart from a problem with the dishwasher, everything in good working order. Accommodation good.

Perfect location very close to the lakeside. Incredibly clean and well presented inside - excellent housekeeper. Gardens perfectly good but little room for children to play. Quite unappealing from the outside on arrival and right on the roadside. However the road only leads to the car ferry so not too much traffic. Level 10 minute walk to the town. Very good as it is almost impossible to park in Bowness in season. Lots to do in the local area and wonderful walks. Would visit Fir Trees again because of the location and cleanliness but PLEASE redecorate the exterior.

Fantastic location. took the ferry across the lake to explore more of the area, well worth the 50p fare each way. Pleasant stroll into the village where there is plenty to do. Shops, bars, cafes and restaurants to suite all pockets. Open top bus ride also very pleasant.
