It was below the standard of the last time we stayed there (about 7 years ago)

Great cottage and location! Was spacious enough for four of us. The secure garden and walks were perfect for our puppy.

The little cottage with a HUGE heart. Find Me Out was in the most idyllic location. In a fairytale setting the cottage was surrounded by beautiful scenery and an abundance of wildlife. The gardens were beautiful, with little waterfalls and river right beside the cottage. The cottage itself was perfect. It was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you needed. The bed being one of the comfiest we've ever slept in. The setting being peaceful and serene made for a wonderful nights sleep too. This is the perfect place for lovers of wildlife and nature. The abundance of wildlife was spectacular. During our stay we were visited often by lots of Roe Deer, there was also a female Roe doe who visited with twin fawns. The bird table was alway packed with bird life and around the cottage we saw foxes, squirrels, hare, lizards, newts and frogs along with damsel and dragonflies to name but a few! We felt privileged to have experienced Find Me Out and Craigengillan. Such an amazing and beautiful place. Perfect for dog owners our dogs loved the wee burn outside and the walks straight from your doorstep.

We had a lovely time, we will definitely be returning. Loved the free standing bath and highly recommend a toasted bacon sandwich off the aga, yummy!!! Only thing to watch out for is the road down to the property, especially if your car is low to the ground. Although there is no phone or internet reception at the cottage there is a selection of card/ board games to keep you well entertained. The garden and outside space was amazing my two dogs loved it, easy access with a couple of steps down to the stream. I would recommend taking a couple of throws to make the living room a bit more comfortable. Overall a wonderful relaxing experience can't wait to return.

This is my first time in Find Me Out cottage . It is very peacefuland such beautiful surrounding. The cottage it's self is lovely. Great for just chilling !! . I like the walled garden which is accessed by the kitchen . I brought a puppy and it was totally secure so she enjoyed her time being able to come and go . Great if you are bringing small children .

Wow we had a great time, will definatly return. Beautiful surroundings ,only one downside was not being able to light a fire for smoke which could soon be remedied with a fan on chimney. First time Ive seen my husband try to cook on an aga, great memories hope to be back soon.

We have stayed at several cottages across England and Scotland and without a doubt this was the best. The location is so idyllic and beautiful, completely tucked away without feeling isolated as at the end of the estate road is a main route that takes you to Ayr, Galloway, Dumfries all within an hour. The staff were unbelievably helpful when we had an issue with the aga, they got it fixed and sent wine and fudge as an apology for any inconvenience. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and boasted a fabulous roll top which was a real treat. The walks around the property were truly breathtaking as were the walks we took in Galloway forest. Unfortunately we only made it to Loch Doon so we will have to return to complete the walks! We only had two tiny bug bears, the pans in the kitchen were a bit of a pain as they just weren't big enough and the cutlery was a bit grubby (next time we will take our own) and the living room needed a few throws and cushions just to make it more comfortable (again we will just take our own). These were teeny tiny issues that had no bearing whatsoever on our visit, just maybe something for the owners to consider. It really was the most perfect holiday cottage, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
