There was a lovely welcome from Mrs Bohle, who ensured we had everything we needed. The cottage was very well equipped, & although compact, had lovely personal touches - homemade shortbread, garden flowers on the table, plenty of games in case of wet weather, & garden furniture at front & back in case it was fine. A fabulously comfortable bed ensured a good nights sleep for both of us all week - something that can't always be said when staying away. It was good to have a bathroom big enough for a bath & a separate shower. All in all, a wonderful place to stay.

We loved our stay here. Secluded enough for a quiet stay but close enough to Edinburgh for a city break.

Beautifully presented holiday cottage in the hills just outside Linlithgow. It was the perfect base from which my partner Debbie & I could explore this part of Scotland. Everything we needed was available inside the cottage, and we even had some eggs from the owner's chickens and some home made jam waiting for us on arrival. We have no hesitation in recommending Filters Cottage as a fabulous place to stay and intend returning to it ourselves...Andy & Debbie
