A real disappointment. The cottage could be lovely but it was dirty and grimy everywhere. In the shower were used razor blades and a used bar of soap, stains up the side of the beds, the kitchen had to be cleaned before we used it, with all cutlery, plates and saucepans all having to have a thorough clean before we used it. The cooking knives were blunt which made cooking more difficult. A shame as it could be a lovely cottage but needs improvement of cleanliness.

The cottage was lovely, the owners left a bottle of wine for my husband as it was a surprise weekend away for his birthday. A lovely and thoughtful touch. I texted z few couple of times as this was the first time I had booked somewhere on my own and Claire was very helpful nothing was a problem. The beds were just heaven so comfortable, you won't want to get up. We booked so we could go to York which was only 20 mins away. Highly recommended. Tip if going to York on a Saturday park in the station carpark 4.50 all day no time limit. Would we book again yes we definitely would.

Mr and Mrs Curtis were exceptionally helpful and kind. The cottage was very warm, well equipped and comfortable, the double bed was massive. We had a dog and there was plenty of space for him to roam. Its about 20 minutes from York and in the area 2 great pubs, Blacksmiths Arms in Naburn, serves huge portions of good food and The Ferry in Cawood which was tremendous
