This was the second time we stayed at Ferry house and it did`nt dissapoint! The views are excellent, the house is very private, cosy and the hot tub is fantastic! We will be visiting again.

Could not use the hot tub, was not working properly and was dirty. ALL rubbish bins full. NO firewood/coal. Small heater in the living room - too cold. Piping fire detector in the hall. VERY old, VERY small TV without reception, even for DVD. Dirty, old, not working dishes/pots. A lot of rubbish everywhere. Butts on the doorstep. Ash pan full. Chunk of dusts in the bathroom and boxes under the bed. No wardrobes in the sleeping rooms. No laundry rack in the house. Old jacket on the tabel, old and dirty jumper in the sleeping room + wardrobe in the hall. Owner not reachable. Only 2 bulbs (of 4) working in the bathroom. Too many trains with signal horns. Water from bathroom through kitchen ceiling...

Fabulous cottage in lovely, quirky location. Very well equipped and loads of space. Hot tub had a fabulous view up the river but we had a few issues trying to make the jets work. Overall it was a great relaxing holiday that we'd highly recommend.

On arrival we did have one or two issues but these were quickly resolved by the very helpful owner. The house is in a beautiful location overlooking the river with lots of walks and cycles right from the door. The level crossing was quite exciting right out of Thomas the Tank engine ! Only thing missing was an outside picnic bench we were lucky enough to have brilliant weather and might have been nice to eat alfresco

We had a lovely week here in beautiful scenery and a lovely little cottage with absolutely everything you need, the trains didn't bother us for the first few days, but towards the end of the week, it wasn't the actual train noise it was the loud toot that they do when they go past, we were woken at 5.45am one morning, it got a little annoying, but didn't ruin our break! The hot tub was lovely, and the place itself is amazing, lots of dog walkers across the river so didn't feel very secluded at times, but plenty of wildlife and peace and quiet most times :-)
