Fernhill Heights is located in an exclusive complex and benefits from views across open countryside in Charmouth Village, voted ’Village of the Year’ by the BBC in 2017. This holiday accommodation has a good quality 2-seater sofa and double bed in the living/dining room (no separate bedroom). It is set on a beautiful 30 acre site which includes two small lakes and a barbecue area. There is also use of a heated outdoor swimming pool (Easter-Sep) and direct access to the coastal footpath. The surrounding grounds are adjacent to Lyme Regis golf course. The 4 star hotel on-site has a café, bar and restaurant.

All on the ground floor.
Living/dining/bedroom:
With Freeview TV, DVD player with a small selection of DVDs and a double bed.
Kitchen: With 2-ring electric hob, combi microwave/oven/grill and fridge.
Shower room: With shower cubicle and toilet.

Electric heaters, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Shared laundry room with coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer. Small patio with garden furniture. Shared outdoor heated swimming pool (9.1m x 4.9m, open Easter-September). Car park. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a spring.

    Once the issues with the small cooking facilities, the convector heater being too close behind the sofa and the shower becoming suddenly painfully hot are sorted out we would book again.

    Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. The cooking facilities include: 2 induction rings, combined oven/microwave, installed in 2017. This is also as listed in Wyndham's website description, has been approved by Wyndham's regional representative as suitable for two people as per the Grade 3 listing. The electric convector heating system is planned for upgrading, both in the main room and the kitchen, and will be replaced by either underfloor heating, heating pump, or infrared radiation panels and planned to be in place for the next heating season. Temperature of the shower: The electric shower system was installed in 2016, and according to the plumber should not normally have major variations in temperature, unless other water sources are in use at the same time. This will be checked again during April 2018.

    What a great little find. Cosy studio that had everything we needed plus a few extras. Comfy bed, kitchen with everything you could need, including a microwave/hob, which works perfectly if you just follow the instruction booklet provided. Little patio at the front of property and use of the hotel pool. Lovely hotel grounds with plenty of walks. Nice bar/restaurant with helpful, friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Great base to explore Dorset, Devon and Somerset. Highly recommend

    HI SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN RENTED OUT IN THAT CONDITION WITHOUT TOILET FACILITIES WORKING PROPERLY. TOILET BLOCKED AND OVERFLOWING ON ARRIVAL. HEALTH HAZARD !!!! OUTSIDE SEATING AREA UNABLE TO USE DUE TO OVERGROWING SHRUBS AND PLANTS. THE DETAILS OF THIS PROPERTY ARE NOT AS DESCRIBED. 5 DAYS OF HOLIDAY RUINED DUE TO ABOVE PROBLEMS.

    Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. I was not aware of the overflowing toilet, and acted immediately upon notification. The problem was attended to immediately and solved as quickly as humanly possible. Moreover, the problem was not inside the property, but due to a blocked outside sewer, which would have affected other properties as well, and is the responsibility of the property management company, who upon notification, as already mentioned, took immediate remedial action. Very unfortunate - but these things happen. This is the first time I have heard about the outside area being obstructed by overgrowing shrubs and plants. The regional representative, visited the property in June 2017 for a new photo shoot and classification assessment. There was no mention in his report on problems with the outside area. If this is indeed the case, this will be cut down at the earliest opportunity. Regarding the comment the property was not as described, this may be caused by the fact that the booking was made on the basis of the old website presentation. It was not changed until recently to reflect the ongoing upgrading of the property. We are sorry that you encountered these issues.

    Lovely place to stay which I have been to 3 times now, set in stunning surroundings. Use of the pool a real advantage too.
