It was a lovely house. We shared it with family, older and young children. We all enjoyed the jigsaws provided. Kitchen cups and bowls could do with updating, and would appreciate more comfortable chairs in the lounge. The garden is lovely, enjoyed the barbeque. Only one garden lounger so we had to fight for it. The caretaker gave us a card to take to the vet with our dog, made it very easy for us, much appreciated. Apart from the few comments above, we really enjoyed the house and would definately visit it again. Thank you.

The house was great, we had to make up a bed when we got there but at least the bed linen was indeed provided. The town has lots of shops etc but if you visit in August be prepared for most to be closed - we were expecting to get a meal in one of the restaurants on our 1st night - everything was closed (so we ate our sandwiches from lunch having not needed them after a big breakfast just outside Ashford) . The house was lovely but the bed in the single room was uncomfortable and our 6 foot son struggled with that - he had our duvet in the end as a mattress builder. Good supermarkets and fabulous bakeries which were open as you would hope. The garden is brilliant - spacious and dog friendly - so sad that the weather was dreadful for most of the time so we didn't get to enjoy the garden much!Weather is something you have no control over so we just got on and went to loads of places - this house is well situated for exploring the area but we weren't aware that all the restaurants, hotels, bars are shut in August - well one was open - just a bar but their dog growled at us so we couldn't even get a beer! I would recommend this house to a family with smaller children - the beds just aren't really up to adults (apart from double room). Hope this doesn't sound negative - we had a great week visiting loads of places and by the way the vet is lovely (we had to take our dog for his check and worming tablets)
