Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Set within the Gloucestershire countryside, yet just a short drive from Cheltenham, Cloucester, Cirencester and Bath.

Farview Cottage is a characterful, 300-year-old, end-terrace holiday cottage, nestled within the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside and with far reaching views across the Stroud valleys. The cottage is situated in the very heart of the south Cotswold village of Selsley, which boasts very popular local pubs. Wonderful walks are on your doorstep, including the Cotswold Way and National Trust common land. Close by is the bohemian town of Stroud, with its award-winning farmers’ market selling a great variety of local produce.

Many towns and villages are within a 25-mile radius, including the Roman town of Cirencester, historic Bath and royal Tetbury. Famous for horse racing and festivals, Cheltenham and Gloucester, with its magnificent cathedral, are also worth a visit. The area is abundant with National Trust properties and other attractions, such as Berkeley Castle and Slimbridge Wetland Centre. The stunning, honey-coloured north Cotswold villages of Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden are just an hour’s drive. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Lovely cottage full of character. Good parking for an old cottage and very conveniently located for Stroud.

When we arrived it was delightful - there was wood ready for the wood burning stove, milk and pastries in the fridge and washing up liquid, paper towels etc in the kitchen. The cottage is in a small, narrow, very quiet country lane hardly used by cars and felt very peaceful. There are lovely views over fields from the first floor. A short walk away is a friendly pub serving good food and delicious Sunday lunch. Inside the house is full of character. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and very romantic. There is a big bathroom off the bedroom, everything we needed in the kitchen, a very comfortable living/dining room and a delightful little courtyard with table and chairs. The owner was very helpful - posting back two necklaces I left behind.
