We had a lovely time in Farne Cottage. The view is just amazing! You can sit and take it in for hours. It is well equiped and comfortable. The location is good with 3 pubs in close walking distance. Its about a 15 minute walk to the beach. The kids loved it and there is a playpark 1 minute away with a pub opposite for a pint. The only negative is that there isnt a private garden as such. That view of Embleton Bay is wonderful!

We have stayed at Farne Cottage numerous times, sometimes twice a year, spring and autumn. The location is central to lots of places, Rothbury, Alnmouth, Beadnell, Seahorses, Bamburgh, Holy Island to name a few. The Cottage has wonderful views from the upstairs lounge window. Sitting admiring the view on our recent visit an owl came to rest on the window sill. You can see the Farne Islands to the left and Dunstanburgh Castle to the right. The Cottage us spacious, comfortable, clean, almost home from home as it is so well equipped, and it is a joy to stay in the Unique Village of Embleton. Lots of lovely coastal walks, spotted dolphins on numerous occasions together with seals. We will be definitely visiting again.
