Ewelands House is ideal for people of all ages. It is ideally situated within close vicinity of many of North Yorkshires best attractions and has one of the best views ever. It is spacious, both inside and out, and full of character. We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay there.

We loved this house; it was the perfect place to spend New Year's with old friends. Fabulous!

Great size for a large group and good games room too. Fantastic Master Bedroom - heated from Games room boiler I think. Heating a bit flaky in some other bedrooms. No WIFI. Great position and outlook. Convenient for Thirsk and Carpenters Arms in village is lovely for a meal.

We did enjoy our stay but all left the property just feeling "grubby". Ewelands is a beautiful house in a beautiful position but it's ready for a deep clean, de clutter and redecoration. The sofas were broken, many of the table and standard lamps did not work and much of the "home entertainment system" was archaic. My suggestion would be, If it does not work, either repair it or remove it! For some reason, the back of the house was subject to an invasion of flys - they were everywhere and it was impossible to air any rooms as we couldn't open windows for them.

Our second extended family stay. The owner is very friendly and the location of the property is stunning. The facilities in the house are excellent although some furnishings are getting a bit tired. A pity that the nearby Carpenters Arms had an off day when we visited, but is a good pub within hobbling distance.
