Lovely cottage in a fantastic occasion. Only issue is the very low water pressure which affects the shower and the fact the hot water tank is not sufficient in capacity to fill the magnificent roll top bath. Heating is from a multi fuel stove which is fine. The cottage itself is both quirky and charming. Very rural location but a very good pub 5 minutes away.

Not our first time here and won't be our last, already booked up for June. Place is just perfect, absolutely brilliant for anyone with dogs or even without. Owner is always ready to give help or advice if needed, lovely bloke. Looking forward to June can't come fast enough.

We had a great week. Despite the week of rain it was the perfect place to relax and chill. Lots of great walks in the rain with the dogs and them back to a fabulous cosy cottage. The owner Bev is a wonderful character and very willing to help. Hope to revisit in the future

This is a great cottage and the owner Bev is always at hand if you need him. Beautiful location for a relaxing holiday with or without your dogs. We would recommend this cottage to everyone and we will definitely be going back.

We've stayed in many cottages over many years...in many price brackets...and not enjoyed any of them as much as this wonderful little place. If you're a '4 in a bed' looking for problems type with white gloves seeking dust well, have a look at yourself and book elsewhere. This place is a little gem

stunning views of the duddon valley, the location was perfect for us and our 2 dogs, having its own private access to the river was amazing which socks, bev the farmer's dog, directed us to daily. The cottage was wonderful and having the paddock right outside was great for the dogs to exercise and have fun while we relaxed in the evenings watching the wildlife. Bev was a delight to me and was very friendly and informative of the local area.

Gave us just what we wanted in a peaceful and tranquil setting. Great views to look out on and lucky enough to hear a cuckoo! Lovely valley with good walking to be had and no tourist hordes. Be careful of arrogant Audi drivers in the narrow lanes ! The owner's dog will escort you down to the river and the stepping stones for a frolic! You can sit by the river and be all alone, so beautiful. Take the hairy drive up and over the fell behind the cottage to The Blacksmith's Arms, Broughton Mills for some lovely beer and food.

The area is fab and the outside space was spectacular, we were dissapointed we had to provide most of the fuel for the stove as this was the central heating. The cottage wasn't as clean as we expected but hey ho The owner needs to provide some information re the working of the TV as it's through the radio, and how to best fuel the stove as it wasn't very warm as we had a couple of chilly nights

Beautiful location, nice owner. Only issue was we couldn't use the paddock advertised.

Ewe Tree Cottage is in a stunning setting; glorious views as far as the eye can see and the surrounding area is beautiful. The cottage itself is cosy, comfortable and full of character and charm - ideal to come back to after days out walking and Bev is on hand to provide help or information on the local area. This is our 2nd visit and still so much more to explore; would definitely recommend this cottage for couples wanting to get away and enjoy the seclusion and an absolutely ideal place to take the dogs too!
