Cottage was very comfortable and clean but be aware that out of season many attractions are either not open at all or only at weekends.

Much nicer than I thought the pictures don't do it enough justice, really spacious especially the 2 bedrooms..Spotlessly clean. Need a torch in the dark nights to get from the Main Street to the cottage as the street lights are almost none exsistant.

A well-maintained, well equipped and cosy cottage. We could have happily stayed longer.

We first visited the cottage several years ago and found it to be very pleasant, our second visit proved somewhat disappointing. On arrival we found wet and rather grubby towels hanging on a towel rail in front of a radiator in the bedroom, which we had to wash and tumble dry before use. Unable to contact cleaner or caretaker as no wi fi or phone signal.

A great location with lots of places to visit such as Alnwick Garden, Farne Islands, Cragside and Dunstanburgh Castle. All fantastic places for children (aged 10 and 7). And lots more to do that we didn't have time for. We would definitely return. Cottage itself was perfect for our family. It was warm, cosy, comfortable, quiet, well equipped and had spacious bedrooms. The L shaped living area/dining/kitchen was also just right. Parking was also handy. The only thing it didn't have was a garden, but we knew this and we were out so much it didn't matter.
