This is an amazing cottage. It is so well equipped, comfortable and clean. The owner, Lorraine couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. Our kids loved helping her on the farm. The location is peaceful and relaxing. We can’t wait to return.

Where to start. The amazing views, fantastic property, wonderful host?? The most beautiful holiday cottage. enjoy a piece of history, immaculately decorated and sympathetic to the original features. The views of the farm and Devonshire countryside are glorious. As for Lorraine who is a most wonderful host. She made us feel so welcome and created family memories that will last a lifetime. As well as Lorraine’s super women powers. The rest of the family are just as lovely. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay in Devon.

Amazing place. The photos just don't do it justice. It's huge! Lorraine and her mum make you truly welcome and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending. You feel like you're in a manor rather than a farmhouse. Lovely walk around the surrounding fields and very doggy friendly.

Excellent place. Everyone of us commented on how appropriate it was for us (7-11 people attending a reunion). The house martins were an optional extra.

Ellishayes Farmhouse is stunning. By far the best self catering accommodation I have stayed in. It is an interesting listed building, but furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The photos do not do it justice. I recommend it to anyone. I have for some reason always tended to steer away from accommodation where the owner is on sight-- if anyone feels the same way, don't at Ellishayes-- Lorraine gets a perfect balance of being friendly and supportive if anything is needed, but giving you all the privacy you need at the same time. Go for it! we will very much hope to be back Andrew, Kent

really enjoyed the cottage and the location, vendor was helpful and friendly and our two families had all the equipment and facilities we could need in the house. The children enjoyed being able to look around at the animals and we went to a variety of places locally despite some rainy days.

Amazing period house, beautifully furnished in a picturesque, tranquil valley location. Our whole family went and everyone loved it. There was a great garden too plus one of the fields was made available for the dogs to exercise. The owner is really friendly and helpful. Can't fault it for a lovely country retreat, we would definitely book again.
