Excellent location, and facilities. The staff at Eleys could not have been nicer or more helpful. Would stay there again for sure.

The apartment is right in the heart of Ironbridge, so it was very easy to find the pie shop for key collection. The owner was very kind, and walked me round as I found the directions a little confusing! A lovely welcome pack was provided, so a hot drink and snack could be made straight away. You then need to move your car to the car park in the square - it's not possible to park by the apartment, owing to the steep and narrow lane - whilst you unload. You can use a cross-hatched bay (free of charge) for this short period of time, but if you have a large car, you may have difficulties negotiating the car park, as it does get pretty busy! After unloading, you need to move your vehicle to a private car park about 5 minutes walk away, accessed by a padlocked gate. It was good to have this dedicated secure parking, however, when I read the details of the apartment prior to booking, it does say 'parking on site', and this is not so. If you have any mobility issues, this may not be suitable for you. I consider myself pretty fit, but by the time I had everything sorted, I was in need of a good sit down! The apartment was very well equipped, the sofa and the bed were both very comfortable, the towels and linens were beautiful. The shower over the bath was powerful and hot. The patio garden had lovely views. Just a few negatives - the symbols around the oven controls had disappeared, so I had no idea whether I was setting the grill or the oven, or what the temperature was! There was quite a lot of dust and cobwebs around the plinths and radiators. If there had been a vacuum cleaner provided, I would have used it. The wood flooring in the bedroom is a bit uneven, but not enough to be a trip hazard. There are loads of interesting places to explore in and around Ironbridge, so this centrally situated apartment is ideal for that. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance to choose from, so no need to use the car.

Response on behalf of the owner:- Hi Sue, Wow what a comprehensive comment, its great when guests care enough to share their experiences to leave a comment. Apologies for the late reply but I have only just discovered that I can post messages. Im glad you enjoyed your welcome hamper. I have since had onsite parking removed from the property listing as it can be misleading. We are very fortunate to have our own private car park in Ironbridge albeit some distance from the property we only suggest the unloading area for the ease of guests as it is closer to the property. I take on board the oven controls lettering I think over enthusiastic clean is responsible for this, it will be replaced asap. I have had a word with the cleaner regarding cobwebs.. Once again many thanks and hope to see you again soon. Jayne
