We had a fantastic weekend as a church group of 11 people including a baby, 5-year old and a teenager. The house is spacious with plenty of rooms to spread out, and the en-suite bathrooms were a big bonus in 4 out of 6 rooms. The kitchen was well equipped and the big dining table was great for sharing meals together. The location and scenery are amazing - we had a lovely walk on the Saturday afternoon up Gummer How and then the local firework display at Cartmel race course in the evening on Bonfire night! The local shop (Londis)was very handy 30 seconds across the road and Tesco were happy to deliver a grocery order so we didn't get to check out the local pub. Definitely recommend the Pizzas from the shop down the road (Fat Flour Bakery). Owners (Mr & Mrs Silverlock) were very helpful. Only slight issue was the heating which didn't quite get upstairs as much as we would have liked whilst the downstairs was very comfortable but it was a particularly cold weekend. Will definitely be coming back for another weekend or week.

An extremely well equipped house with not only the essentials but the added extras of children's toys, extra rug at front door for changing shoes, bedside lights and liquid soap at all basins.
