We used it as a base as there were several places we wanted to travel to

We had a lovely holiday here and would definitely come back. We took the house and the farmhouse, and both were spacious and in a great location. We also felt we had had great value for money. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, and it was all very easy. The Forest of Dean is a wonderful location for a holiday with children - lots to do. Some of the items on the inventory weren't there - kitchenalia type stuff, but because we had two houses, we could usually find what we wanted in one of them, but maybe the inventory could be checked again. When I arrived with a pre-made dinner and switched the oven on to heat it up, there was a burning smell and some smoke where it hadn't been cleaned after previous guests had had something bubble over, and the washing machine in the farmhouse made a terrible noise and tore a duvet cover from home that we had washed. But these were minor niggles, and did not spoil the holiday in any way. We had a magic time and got more than we expected for what we paid, so although we left some suggestions for a few repairs and replacements, our experience was very positive.

Needs a bit more of a clean as there were dead flies everywhere in the conservatory. Could do with a new frying pan!!! Its scratched to bits so not non stick anymore. Doesnt cost much to replace. Surroundings are.great and the hotel amenities are fantastic.

The cottage was immaculate . If I have a criticism it was that there was only one teaspoon and the conservatory was too cold to use as a dining room .

Very good property and all rooms were very spacious, kitchen had more than enough space and equipment. Lounge spacious and good size conservatory, only criticism would be to put a heater in the conservatory where dining table was, quite cold in winter months.

Fabulous cottage set in the Forest of Dean. Warm, clean and spacious with working wifi. Great facilities and a free bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. Easy key collection, Will definitely stay again.

We had a lovely short break at Edenwall house, the house was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The decor is quite traditional, but it is very well maintained. We would definately recommend it to friends and family and would book to stay there again.
