Perfect cottage and perfect host. We have visited twice and it won't be our last visit. Perfect place to just switch off, relax and enjoy the walks in forest of Dean and other beautiful local sceneries. We have a young cocker spaniel and he loves the cottage and the nearby walks. The cottage is well enclosed and we were completely comfortable letting him out in the garden so he could run around for himself.

It was a really nice cottage, everything you could wish for in the kitchen, We found the toilet being downstairs a bit awkward if you put the light on it woke others up, but they did leave us a torch. There is a very nice pub within walking distance which served food. We took logs with us for the log burner, and were very pleased to see logs were provided, as most places just leave you one basket full.

What a lovely cottage. In a quiet lane with off road parking, near a pub and walking distance to a small shop or two. Walking distance to Symonds Yat too! Amazing location. House was cosy-we were fearing the worst with night store heating-and the free fire wood meant that we could have a top up fire. Nice beds and bedding. Kitchen well equipped. Only shortcoming was the lack of WiFi.

Lovely cottage right on the edge of the Forest of Dean. Easy to get to. Amenities close by yet very peaceful and relaxing. Large secure garden for our dog, who had his first experience of rabbits! Have already booked next year as we loved it so much!

A well equipped and comfortable cottage with enough space for 4 adults. Good sized gardens with patio and ample parking.

Cottage is a bit dated & could do with an upgrade sofa in lounge as not very comfy. Also a larger tv would be better. The garden area is fantastic for the dogs & for sitting outside in the sun. Nice walks from the cottage & good for local pub. Would stay again

The bed spoilt it for us looks like a new mattress had been provided but the base was sagging causing discomfort. We did cut our holiday two days short because of this ,one other thing was the window cleaner turning up during our holiday we feel this should have been on change over day .

our sixth visit to the cottage. We are like homing pigeons once we've found the perfect nest we like to return. The cottage lives up to all our expectations of the requirements for a perfect and relaxing holiday and we hope to return many more times before some pigeon shooter shoots us down. Thanks to the owner for providing such a beautiful retreat

East View was one of the better cottages we have stayed in. Very good for dog walking in the Forest of Dean straight from the door. The local pub was very dog friendly and just down the lane. The only down side a small welcome pack would have been nice, milk teabags, coffee a loaf of bread and of course a cake or a packed of biscuits. All in all a very good holiday
