We had a fantastic weekend at East View. We were a little concerned when booking that our children (age 4, 2 and 8months) would be a little bored but the garden is large so plenty of space for them to run around. There were also toys, games and dvds to keep them entertained. The cottage was very clean and comfortable (the double bed is one of the best ive slept in) and well equipped. There is absolutely loads to do in the Forest for all the family and the pub at the end of the road is welcoming, serving good food. We would 100% recommend East View and will most certainly look to stay here again.

Fab cottage for two. Loved it and very homely but needs some modernisation throughout really. Luckily not something to put us off but it would be desirable.

This was our fifth visit to East View so I think it speaks for itself how fantastic we think the cottage is. Wonderful scenery, all the comforts of home, and friendly locals. What more could you ask? Will definitely return next year, God willing.

A very detached property in a quiet area. The garden was far bigger than we imagined. Very comfortable interior. Superb location for forest walks. Maybe a strange negative comment but.. If there was some space left in the overstocked kitchen cupboards to allow for some food storage too then that would be great.

Ideally situated for the forest. Secure garden for pets and most of all very very quiet.

We had a wonderful week at East View. The location is fantastic really near some of the best attractions in the forest of dean. The beds were comfy and bedrooms large. The kitchen was well equipped and my husband loved using the fire. The garden is lovely, we ate on the patio a few times and also sat out to star gaze. My two little girls were delighted that they could watch th wild bunnies and horses in the next door field from the bedroom window. The only thing lacking was no wifi and such poor mobile reception that we couldnt use our phines at all which was a bit frustrating as it ment we couldn't look up things to do from the house . I'm sure the disconnection would be a bonus for many people though. We plan to go back.

Absolutely fantastic cottage. Amazing location. Walks from the front door. Great local pub. The log burner and massive enclosed garden were great. Would 100% stay here again.

Lovely quiet location. Rooms a good size and generally well equipped cottage. Beds especially comfortable. On the downside, bathroom is downstairs and the stairs are exceptionally creaky with a slightly loose handrail!
