Perfect for a quiet holiday in the country, yet very close to the main road. Easy access to countryside as well as unique towns and villages. Comfy, spacious, well-equipped. Highly recommended.

Lovely place and people. Has everything you need. Only problem is the bed is a bit hard.

The cottage is very tired & could do with a refresh. The website photos seem to show it several years ago when it was new & fresh. Broken stair gate. Lots of bits on the floor, identified by crawling toddler. Dodgy heating that roars away at 11pm but doesn't kick in until 8.30am, not ideal when you're up early with a baby. Leaking kettle. Broken bedside drawer handles. Although Cherry & Nigel were friendly and tried to resolve issues, nothing could be done until after Easter when we left. Nothing complimentary, it turns out we have been spoilt at other holiday cottages recently which have provided us with a dishcloth, hand wash, cling film, foil and more than one toilet roll. Disappointing.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; I was naturally upset by these comments when we work hard to maintain the standard of the cottage and grounds. The cottage was re-decorated in January 2017. The kettle has been replaced although no-one else has complained about it. We clean the cottages thoroughly between guests, which can be seen from previous remarks and scoring. The heating is thorough and is controlled by a thermostat in the Cottage by the guest. The heating is not instantaneous / flick of a switch and takes time to draw through. There are alternative forms of heating in the Cottage, an electric stove in the living room, dual fuel radiator in the kitchen and fan heaters in the under stairs cupboard. This guest called me daily and had previously requested to book with me directly which we could not accommodate, however we feel we tried our best to keep the guest happy including giving her a voucher for a free day out locally. Unfortunately upon departure which was an hour late, the cottage was found to be in an unacceptable condition which therefore required extra cleaning.

Lovely cottage in a perfect countryside location. The cottage had everything we needed for our short break. It was cosy and very spacious for both of us . Enjoyed being able to walk up the fields at the back of the cottage to view the surrounding area.

I have recently returned from a weekend away at East Granary. It was a perfect base for meeting up with old friends (without our respective kids!) and we enjoyed a day out wandering around the shops at Ludlow. The cottage suited us really well and was very comfortable and cosy. It had everything we needed. It was a quiet location and there were lovely views over the surrounding hills. On arrival, I met the owner and she was welcoming and informative. I had previously contacted her to ask if towels were provided, and she answered very promptly. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer to visit Berrington Hall! We hope to return as it was a perfect halfway house for us to meet up!

Lovely place to stay with a family. Lots of character, and on site facilities were very good. Surrounding area is worth exploring.
