We were very happy with the cottage. Yes we would stay again. Yes we loved the kitchen and cooking on the aga. The décor throughout the accommodation was excellent with lovely furnishings, antiques and classy homemade extras, like the curtains and the wrought iron work. It was very comfortable and the views and garden were lovely too. It was a lovely area to stay in and so close to Morpeth for local shopping. Very easy to get to. We had a great week away!

Lovely cottage in great location. Family friendly. No squeaky beds, dirty cupboards etc to detract from the holiday - a perfect cottage. Nice welcome and owners prompt with response when we set smoke alarm off and couldn't work out how to re-set it. Only thing that stopped it being a 10 out of 10 - would have been nice to have had complete set of up to date leaflets about visitor attractions in the area.

This cottage is located about an 8 minute drive from Morpeth, which is a lovely town with plenty of good restaurants. It is close to the heritage coastline, which is beautiful any time of the year. On arrival the key was easy to locate and the cottage was very welcoming with a lit fire and a welcome pack including wine, chocolates, sweets and dog treats. We would have preferred bread, milk, eggs and butter but all the same it was appreciated especially by the children and our dog! The cottage has a lovely new bathroom with plenty of hot water at all times. The beds in all rooms were extremely comfortable, too comfortable for teenage children who wanted to spent all day in it! It was a real novelty to cook on the fabulous Aga in the spacious kitchen, which was well equipped. However we would have found it useful to have had hand soap in the kitchen and a dishcloth and bin liners. We were disappointed with the log burner as despite it eating wood it gave out very little heat to the room but was aesthetically pleasing rather than a heat source. We had a great time in the cottage and it made a nice change from holidaying in our touring caravan.
