Being within three miles of Cemmaes village, six miles from Machynlleth, and 17 miles from Dolgellau, this property’s central location means it lies within easy reach of the Cambrian coastline and popular seaside towns such as Aberystwyth, Aberdovey, Tywyn, Barmouth and Harlech. Guests looking for a more reserved holiday could check out Powys Castle, Harlech Castle, Gregynog Hall the scenic narrow gauge and light steam railways of Talyllyn, Llanfair and Ffestiniog and Portmeirion Italiante village. There are numerous outdoor pursuits available in the surrounding areas that include Coed Y Brenin Mountain bike centre and go ape, sailing available at lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, golf at Machynlleth, walking, climbing at Cader Idris, and a day trip to Snowdon is an easy drive from here. Ynys Hir Nature Reserve is just 10 miles away along the Dyfi Estuary which is where the BBC programme ’Spring Watch’ is televised from, King Arthurs Labyrinth and Corris craft centre is always a hit with children, plus the centre for alternative technology is closeby. There are garden areas with seating to the front, side and rear of the property and a lockable garden shed for storage of bicycles etc. An ideal retreat for walkers and dog lovers alike for the unhurried lifestyle.

    This cottage is in a peaceful location. It has a lovely view from the front window. The only problem only problem we had with the location of the cottage, was the lack of a local shop within walking distance. However, it is plenty of places to visit by car in a 20 mile radius, and plenty of areas for walks, in the local area.
