We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dunsapie and would definitely stay again. The location was great for getting into and out of Edinburgh and with Holyrood Park at the top of the road and a great pub round the corner, what more could you want.

We loved Dunsepie. The bungalow was clean and very homely, and so spacious, plenty of room. The location was ideal,we walked into Edinburugh every day through the park and made it to the top of Arthurs seat one day.The area was very peaceful and had a lovely park for the kids nearby. If we visited Edinburugh again we would definitely stay here,we had a great holiday.

Originally for 6 but circumstances changed only 2 of us went, nevertheless we had a great time, the information that the owners left in a folder was priceless, we managed quite a few trips into Edinburgh by bus and even walked in through Queen's park ate out, ate in thanks to information about pubs & takeaways, the welcoming pack which was left for us was much appreciated, overall very well equipped cottage in a great location that was nice & quiet.

We had a lovely time in Edinburgh and the surrounding countryside. The house was perfectly situated for either walking into Edinburgh or catching a bus. The house was really cosy and had plenty of everything. If there was any comment it would be that we didn't know about the school behind us, which on this occasion, didn't matter as they had just broken up for the summer. If not it could have been interesting getting out of the drive way! And it would be good to have larger glasses in the cupboard for a large drink of squash when you've walked into Edinburgh, round the town and then back again!!! But apart from that it was handy to have more than one bathroom/toilet and the conservatory on the back was lovely to eat in especially when the sun was out. We had easy access to a large supermarket which was 5 mins down the road and handy for a petrol station 2mins away. The walk into Edinburgh was lovely as it took you by the Loch and to Holyrood Park and the start of the Royal Mile.

Great holiday, very good property, excellent location, bus service great, goes everywhere, car sat on drive all week. Only very slight problem was walking up the hill! Not a problem for normal fit people but, I have a small problem with my hips, managed though.

An ideal place to stay for a visitor to Edinburgh. Everything you are likely to need on holiday is provided and the house is a real home, not just a basic holiday flat. A personal hand-over from the owner and the many small extras provided make you feel welcome and able to settle in immediately.

Had a really lovely time in Dunsapie and would stop there again if we are in Edinburgh. Joan made us feel very welcome, the welcome pack was a very nice gesture and much appreciated. The garden was lovely to sit in and pick the fruit from the trees as Joan had told us to help ourselves, Delicious. As we don't have a car found getting about by Bus or Taxis very easy, it was really good to have quite a few good walks nearby.

All in all a fab property. Unfortunately the customers the week before us had used all the internet allowance so we didn't have wifi. The furnishings are a bit old fashioned but everything was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable with lovely bedding. Brilliant shower as well. My only recommendation would be a bigger toaster the one provided is too small for a large sliced loaf.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thanks for feedback much appreciated - we have updated our guidance to guests re the Wi-Fi and are monitoring usage. We have upgraded the toaster but odd sized bread may still be an issue but there is always the grill as an alternative. The loaf of bread we provide in our welcome pack is 'our toaster' friendly!!

Only reason we can't give a straight 10 is the equipment of the kitchen. The number and size of pots and pans was not quite sufficient for our party of six and there were no bowls for salad or musli. Still we had great breakfasts and dinner improvising a little. We enjoyed the stay very much. Very friendly hosts. Ideal location with beautiful nature right at our doprstep and a challenging and nice walk into town. - Dr. Neil"s Garden only a 10 minute walk away was a special highlight of the area.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Glad you enjoyed your stay and thanks for the feedback much appreciated. We are obviously use to pouring our muesli from packets but we are going to add two large bowls to our crockery collection for salads and cereals. We are also reviewing our provision of saucepans etc. based on your comments.
