Set within its own grounds, it is beautifully furnished and makes a lovely relaxing holiday base. There is a 9-hole golf course in the village and fishing on the loch nearby. Dunoon (10 miles) is a popular holiday resort with many amenities, good sea fishing and ferries to Greenock, from where it is just a short drive to Glasgow. The area boasts a magnificent diversity of scenery, with dramatic peaks, waterfalls, hidden caves and mysterious, forest-covered slopes. Sandy beach 5 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub 10 minutes’ walk.

We enjoyed the holiday but was just a little disappointed with the accommodation.

A truly beautiful, tranquil and restful setting. The cottage was faultless. Just as described only better. The views from the window alone are worth every penny. Lovely area with lots to do and see or just relax and unwind. The use of the main house's owner's loch shore and loch side decking is very generous and is beautiful. We travelled via the ferry from Gourock to Hunter's Quay which added to the sense of anticipation and the unwinding process, the views of Holy Loch from the ferry are spectacular, especially if you are lucky to get a clear day! - atmospheric on a normal day! Nearest main grocery shops (Morrisons/Co-op) are in Dunoon about 8 miles, but garage about 2 miles has most essentials.

We had a lovely holiday in this very relaxing, welcoming cottage. The area is beautiful and we will definitely visit again.
