This unique conversion, attached to a traditional farmhouse, is nestled in countryside with lovely views down the Duddon Valley.

Duddon Mews is a traditional Lakeland hideaway, attached to the owner’s farmhouse, and enjoying an idyllic rural location tucked away in the Duddon Valley. Arranged on two floors, there is an open-plan living/dining room/kitchen on the ground floor, while an external stone staircase leading to the first floor gives access to a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. A truly unique property, lovingly restored to provide comfortable holiday accommodation. The Duddon Valley is a jewel in the crown of Cumbria, situated between Coniston and Eskdale, remote, unspoilt and perhaps the most idyllic corner of the Lake District. The Duddon Valley will delight walkers, moutain bikers, climbers, nature lovers and those who enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside. The tiny villages of Ulpha and Seathwaite are two focal points of the valley. At Ulpha there is a post office/village shop, while Seathwaite, situated near the end of the ancient Walna Scar road, boasts a 16th-century inn, where good home-cooked food, real ales and a warm welcome await, all day all year. The property is surrounded by moorland, with wonderful views up the valley and walks from the door. Conveniently located for Ulpha, Eskdale, Boot, Seathwaite and Broughton-in-Furness. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

We spent a wonderful time in this tiny little cottage with a wonderful view. It was a starting point to great walks far away from the touristic public places.

Beautiful place to stay if you enjoy your peace and quiet, and want to unwind from your daily routine. Every morning starts with a stunning view when you first get up and gets you in a good mood for the day. Cosy little cottage with everything you need as a base for exploring, and a nice gesture with the welcome basket of bread, eggs, biscuits and beverages. Brilliant value for the money!

A perfect location, cottage very clean, bed very comfortable. Great for the Duddon valley. Welcome pack made a nice touch. Lovely views from the cottage, and the garden was lovely to sit in, in the morning with a cup of tea and the lovely sunshine, before a day of walking. You could not ask for more

Great location, plenty of walks in nearby area. Bedroom was nicely warmed with radiator, plenty of hot water and the downstairs room was comfortable with electric fire. Nearby shop is closed on Tuesdays and the pub is a long walk from home along narrow roads! Mobile reception can be obtained by walking 300 metres up the hill. Didn't like to see the sheepdogs locked up for most of the day.

Great location & amenities in cottage were great! Owners were kind & left milk & bread. The cottage was quirky & suitable for the 3 days we were there. We felt it was a tad expensive for what we paid as we had no control over heating upstairs (I was cold 2 nights). Down stairs had paint coming off wall & could do with redoing. We just wanted to note that the noise levels from owners children was hearable (wasn't quite the peice & quiet we expected). Overall it was a nice cottage, but I'm not sure we will be rushing back :)

The break at Duddon Mews was exceptional. It is a beautiful part of the world and everything at the cottage was spot on.
