Drury Lane Barn is in a elevated position with views over open countryside, with indoor heated swimming pool and tennis court, Malpas is close by.

Drury Lane Barn is a fine example of a detached, traditional barn that has been sympathetically converted by its present owners to a high specification, with modern conveniences added for ease of use - visitors can also enjoy sole use of an indoor heated swimming pool and tennis court during their stay. Set in a slightly elevated position away from main roads, and on the owners’ estate, there are far reaching views across open countryside and meadows - making this a truly peaceful setting. Drury Lane Barn is situated less than 5 miles from Whitchurch - a compact Shropshire town just inside Shropshire’s border with Wales. It is a town steeped in history with an array of beautiful buildings that house shops, pubs and some very notable restaurants. Built in Queen Anne style, the distinctive St Alkmund’s Church dominates the town, and the courtyard off the Bullring survives as the last remaining of several which existed until the 1950s. Close by are the villages of Hanmer and Malpas, with the City of Chester, Shrewsbury, and Llangollen with its river, canal, mountains and wonderful views of the Welsh countryside, all within easy access.
The barn’s central position on the Welsh, Shropshire and Cheshire borders makes it a perfect holiday base for exploring the sights of the three counties. There are a number of National Trust properties within an hour’s drive, and golf, fishing and horse riding are all available locally. Shop and pub 2 miles.

What a fantastic place. We booked to celebrate an 80th Birthday, 12 in total, including 4 children. We had a great time, everything you need is provided and Lucy the owner was a pleasure to deal with, even posting a little ones forgotten dressing gown back to us. The pool was lovely and warm and the children loved the tennis court. The barn was spotlessly clean and was so homely. We would highly recommend the barns and would definitely revisit. Thank you for a great stay.

Immaculate spacious accommodation. Perfect place for our family of 12 to celebrate various BIG birthdays. Quiet and secluded location with fantastic views. Lucy the owner was pleasant, attentive and useful in local recommendations. The pool and the tennis court was great for all, particularly the children. We would all definatly return.

Simply a superb property, spacious, extremely well equipped and perfect for our family's birthday celebration. All 10 of us, from 2 to 65 years old had a wonderful few days. Standards were immaculate throughout and the private pool made it extra special. The owners were so welcoming and their thoughtful touches were greatly appreciated. The property was wonderfully warm despite frosty overnight February weather! Would most definitely like to return.

Lovely converted barn. Fabulous lounge/dining/kitchen area. Everyone enjoyed the swimming pool and tennis court. A wonderful weekend, despite the weather. Only drawback - the bedrooms are all rather small.
