Located in West Wemyss, a charming conservation village on the shores of the Forth, Driftwood Cottage sits on a sunny hill which has views towards Edinburgh, and is only a short stroll down the seafront and the old harbour. Driftwood Cottage offers ample accommodation for a family of four and the cottage is well equipped with all you need during your stay. There are two comfortable bedrooms and a small enclosed garden to the rear and the property is pet friendly. From the front of the cottage you can glimpse a view of the sea. West Wemyss is a traditional Fife coast village with harbour, creels and white-washed cottages, it is quaint and tiny but it has its own Cafe and Bistro and is only minutes away from central Scotland’s major road networks. Scotland’s beautiful capital city Edinburgh is less than an hour away and St Andrews is only 40 minutes. West Wemyss has a lovely cafe and bistro The Walk Inn which is only 150 meters away and serves homemade food and regularly hosts quizzes and social events. The coastline is peaceful and one of our favourite walks is to head from the cottage on foot along the coast to Dysart, stopping at the Harbour Masters House for coffee, then walking around the harbour and along the beach to Ravenscraig Park and Castle, great on your own or with a four legged friend. In 1985 the village became part of the designated conservation area, and over the years the harbour has been redeveloped for leisure craft, the old village restored and coastal defences improved. The village has quaint old buildings and narrow steppped lanes leading between the streets. Driftwood Cottage is built in the style of the traditional Fife fisherman’s homes but was completed only recently, so it’s bright and modern and offers all the comfortand luxury you need to really unwind on your holiday. The owners are passionate about promoting the best of Scotland and are delighted to be able to offer you a flavour of this through their beautiful holiday home in Fife. With its white-washed walls, sash-and-case windows and red pan tiled roof, Driftwood Cottage really is as pretty as a picture. From the front of the house there are views of the Forth and the Bass Rock, and the back looks onto quiet woodland. The house is immaculately presented and offers spacious and welcoming accommodation for 4 people on 2 levels. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with quality memory topped mattresses. Either King and Super King (US Californian King) or King and Twin beds and a fresh, contemporary bathroom. Downstairs is a large open-plan living/dining area, a well-fitted kitchen and separate cloakroom. 3 TV’s all with DVD players, an iPod docking station, and a selection of DVD’s books and board-games.

Cot, high chair and stairgate available.Small enclosed garden with decking and furniture. Off road parking for 1 car. Wi-fi Internet access available. NB: 200m to the sea front.
