Perfect base for exploring. The property was lovely and peacefully located with a view of Loch Ness. We wanted somewhere slightly off the beaten track and this was perfect, although there was no internet to be honest this suited us and allowed us to enjoy the holiday and not get distracted by the temptation to check on the real world. Everyday offered new beauty and unexpected hidden gems...we could have stayed another few weeks and still not been able to capture the magnificence of the varied and breath taking vistas of Scotland. To come back to such a relaxing and peaceful base just added to our stay.

Lovely house. Could do with another loo but we knew that was going to be an issue and it was still well worth staying there. Jacobite Steam train is heartily recommend too.

Good base to explore the area where you will find there is lots to do . Go for walks , Visit local attractions and even spend time shopping in Inverness. We have been up in that area before but still found Culloden Moor, Fort George, Loch Ness ,Urquart Castle well worth another visit. You can see dolphins swimming in the sea,(no sign of Nessie though ). When you have finished your day sightseeing, you can return to your cottage for a wind down. The cottage is well equipped with everything you will need and is spotless. Pool table and dart board are available to use in the summer house (although clearing the table or a 180 may prove challenging). Would return again

This was an excellent holiday cottage, and I've stayed in many ! It was very well equipped indeed, very child friendly, but a fire guard would have been even better. Super location. We loved the garden which was full of unusual trees and shrubs.

Excellent property in lovely location, would definitely recommend to families. Husband did miss Internet but not a major issue compared to all this property has to offer.

Wonderful location and what a delightful cottage. We walked, took a ferry on Lochness and train to the Kyle of Lochalsh. Locals were full of information. A perfect October break in a fully equipped cottage.

The cottage was superb in every way. It was very well equipped ,clean and comfortable. The garden was an absolute delight and a lovely location to sit and enjoy the peace. Our two wee dogs also loved exploring it and the fact that it was totally secure was a big advantage. The views of the loch and the great walks on the doorstep were also excellent. We were blessed with glorious weather during our two week stay which encouraged us to travel quite far but it would have been no hardship if we had been confined to base. The residents in the neighbouring cottage were also nice and friendly.

We didn't want to come home. .. at one point we even said if we had won the lottery at the weekend we would contact the owner about buying. After a 15 hr drive from Portsmouth walking in to an idyllic cottage was heaven. My dad hadn't been back to Scotland since 1999 so this was a chance to reminisce about his childhood and teenage years and once we were there the memories came flooding back. Dad suffers with chronic COPD and the owner was very accommodating allowing dad to have his oxygen machine installed in the premises. My aunt had never been to Scotland and she had such a great time. She couldn't believe how beautiful the area was. Views of the loch were spectacular. 1 week wasn't enough. We were looking at booking again next year...but I came home with extra luggage. Dad thinks we should call the baby 'ness' :-) Thank you driftwood for your perfect hospitality, your gorgeous home and spectacular views. We will be back x
