Overall we found everything to our satisfaction and as first time visitors to the area were very pleased to be within easy reach of so many interesting places to visit. On a personal note I should perhaps say as a sufferer from a bad back that I did find the lounge furniture too low for my comfort. Other than that everything was fine and the owner was very helpful and friendly. L Page

We have stayed at a number of cottages around the country but Dove Cottage is undoubtedly the best in every respect. The location is pleasantly secluded but only a few miles from Cirencester which is a delightful small town, offering all the amenities one might need. Our hosts, Chris and Sally, were really helpful but not in the least intrusive. We were lucky with the weather so we have no complaints at all. Robert

The owners were fantastic. On arrival they were there to help us settle into the cottage, and left a lovely welcome basket with bread, milk, butter and homemade shortbread. A lovely touch. This was especially good as we hadn't been to the shop to get any milk, so could enjoy a cuppa on arrival. As a family with a 8 month old, the cottage was easily adapted to suit his needs. The owners also asked if we needed a stair gate and one could be fitted if needed. The furniture and amenities were perfectly fine, with TV's in each bedroom and in the lounge. With a young family it was great to have the use of a washing machine and clothes line to dry things on. The open plan layout gave the cottage a bright outlook, with the doors to the rear adding light in the morning. It was great to have breakfast and a cuppa in the morning on the decking, looking over the garden. Although the garden is private, you can still get a beautiful view of it. It was also nice to have a good conversation with the owners on a regular basis, and also to see the lovely dogs. If there is anything you are not happy with or not sure of in the cottage, or need an idea of where to go, just ask the owners as they were more than happy to help. We had a fantastic week here, it really felt like the owners had thought of everything to make the visit as great as possible, this included cleaning products, toilet roll, pots and pans etc. We fully recommend Dove Cottage and hope we can visit here again in the future.

I booked Dove Cottage for a two week stay for my elderly Mother and her partner. It is a good quality, very comfortable cottage in a beautiful quiet environment. The owners are very kind and helpful. They had a lovely stay and would visit again.

Absolutely awesome!!! The owners couldn't have been more helpful and even though you share the same plot (2 different buildings) you wouldn't even know. The house had everything you could possibly want and is within easy reach of local towns, villages, play park for kids (less than 400m), local pub under 10min walk across the field and it was a lovely pub on the river, nice quiet lanes if you want to run or cycle. Truly was an exceptional place to stay and the owners couldn't have been nicer. A**

Great accommodation, welcoming owners. On a personal note, found the sofa too low and way too soft and had to reposition to watch wall mounted tv in comfort. Other than that, excellent well presented and clean property.

Really enjoyed our stay and our hosts were very welcoming. Only gripe was the towels smelt a bit stale but place was clean. Cottage/barn was really nice and would definitely recommend.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed the cottage, although we were a little surprised to read you thought the towels smelt stale, we can only apologise profusely for this. The towels are laundered on a weekly basis and we always have spare sets washed and ready to go in case anyone requests extra. We have no explanation as to why and have never encountered it before, if you had just tapped on our door we would have been more than happy to replace them for you. We can only apologise again and hope it did not mar your stay.
