Had a great short break at Donmar; the property is ideally suited for touring the island and seeing the sights, it is in a beautiful, quiet, rural location, but only 10 minutes or so from the facilities in Portree. The house was warm, clean and comfortable; beds were comfy and ensuites were great; kitchen/diner large and well equipped. This is an ideal spot for a quiet relaxing break, (the nightlife is stargazing and owls!), which is exactly what we hoped for. I am a bit of a germphobe but immediately felt really comfortable here as it is kept very clean - we would not hesitate to stay again and have already recommended it to friends. Thank you!

More than exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend, plenty of hot water lovely appointed en-suite rooms and great views at rear of house. We managed to tour the whole island during our week and were luck to have mild and dry weather for early November.

Loved loved loved Donmar. Exactly what we were looking for peace and quiet and lots of space for our 3 dogs to run around in safety. Central location for exploring the North end of the island. Highly recommended.

The house is great and completelly equipped. The rooms were spacious and clean. Great garden and views. At the other side of the cottage there is a farm with sheeps and we could see them from the kitchen. Sandy, from the cottage next door, was very kind. The location of the house is 15min from the main city in the island, Portree, and it is ideal to discover the northern part of the island. We recommend the restaurant Dulse & Brose, in Portree.

I stayed at Donmar with my 2 dogs in June 2016. The cottage was very clean, and really well equipped. We had a very comfortable stay. But the best aspect of the cottage was the fabulous garden for the dogs, and also the fantastic neighbours, who were very friendly and helpful. I have already rebooked for next June, and can't wait to go back.

We loved this beautiful house and would love to return some time. Don't take any eggs with you as you can get them from Sandy's chooks next door.
