Set in a restored farmyard just 1km away from one of Brittany’s most picturesque little fishing ports, these properties (refs W10320 and W15043) are perfect for a great beach holiday. There are beamed ceilings and plenty of space both inside and outside. Children will enjoy playing on the large lawn. The views from the properties are rural, while footpaths lead down to this beautiful section of coastline, not only the port of Doëlan, where you can buy your fish and seafood or enjoy watching the yachts and fishing boats, but also the low cliffs and many sheltered little sandy coves. The larger sandy beaches of Le Pouldu and Kerfany are also close by. You can use the local paths for mountain biking, riding or walking, with circuits well indicated, going along rivers, coast through the wonderful ancient forest of Clohars and the ruined abbey of St. Maurice. The local markets have excellent fresh produce, especially fish and oysters, explore the pretty churches and hunt for all the prehistoric standing stones or try sailing, windsurfing or even jetskiing. Shop 2km, restaurant 1km, beach 3km.

The hosts made us feel extremely welcome and were very kind and generous (supplying us with their homemade cider, Breton flan and homegrown vegetables. The cottage was spacious, extremely well equipped, beautifully clean, peaceful and set in a very pretty part of Southern Brittany.

A very pleasant stay - our second time. There has been some decorating done but the chairs in the sitting room are not very comfy. The cottage was clean on the surface but, for example, the doors were dusty and the skirtings and edges of the floors. The crockery looked greasy so we put it in the dishwasher before using it and the cutlery draws were grubby. We left it cleaner than when we arrived. Lovely place though.
